Experienced Transportation CSR

JOB SUMMARY: Schedule deliveries, trace loads, and respond to problems that arise during the day regarding pick-ups or deliveries.  Communicate with customers on their freight in regard to delays or accessorials ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Strategic Development: -  Markets the company image-  Develops their surrounding area-  Understands geography, customers, and potential. Operational Excellence:-  Perform Prompt and complete data entry-  Enter accurate customer orders in computer system-  Monitor on-time performance for driver delivery and pick-up-  Prepare Tracking Reports Customer Development:-  Develop knowledge base of all customers-  Develop relationships of all customers-  Understand and abide by various customer requirements-  Resolve customer problems promptly and efficiently-  Understand the operations and rules of the various rail carriers and piers Organizational Effectiveness:-  Communication with Dispatchers to avoid any problems with loads or transport and resolve any issues that may occur-  Cooperate with Revenue Team to retain and/or develop business- Traces and monitors existing loads in the system to prevent problems from occurring REQUIREMENTS:-  Experience in intermodal transportation or import/export export business-  Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal-  Excellent computer skills-  Ability to effectively multi-task when necessary-  Flexible – able to work in fast-paced environment-  Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.-  Minimum 2 years college education-  Ability to work long hours/swing shift hours if necessary to handle special customer requests.  Company: RoadLink Location: Chicago, IL 60632 Status: Full Time, Employee Shift: First Shift (Day), Second Shift (Afternoon) Job Category: Logistics/Transportation Relevant Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Industry: Transport and Storage - Materials Education Level: Some College Coursework Completed Occupations: General/Other: Logistics/Transportation Industry: Transport and Storage - Materials Email: bsell@roadlink.com
