Job Duties

 

·          Manage a fleet of approximately 15-20 trucks, including location, availability, condition, and maintenance

·          Manage daily pick up and delivery schedules to maximize capacity and ensure on-time service

·          Assign drivers and crew members to jobs on a daily basis

·          Update shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity

·          Recruit, hire and train local crew and contractors

·          Oversee contractor performance to ensure customer satisfaction

·          Audit paperwork and timecards; Manage contractor profitability

 

           

Job Qualifications

 

·          Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly-changing, high demand work environment

·          Strong problem-solving and project management skills

·          Self motivated by daily challenges

·          Excellent organizational skills

·          Strong geographical knowledge

·          Dispatching experience and/or knowledge of the transportation industry strongly preferred

·          Solid data entry skills

·          Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
