Equipment Control Supervisor

JOB TITLE:  Equipment Control Supervisor 

REPORTS TO: Equipment Control Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Supporting the Equipment Control Manager to direct and monitor the daily activities of the Equipment Control Coordinators and Equipment Dispatchers. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Train the reporting personnel in the required daily activities.

· Schedule reporting personnel to ensure proper coverage determined by the needs of the individuals accounts.

· Provide backup to each position to support the operation of the Facility and the individual accounts.

· Implement and maintain the company policies and procedures as defined by upper management.

· Interface with reporting personnel to ensure completeness of daily activities.

· Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

· 2-4 year college Degree

· 2-3 years of Transportation (Dispatch) support required.

· Container or Port / LTL experience a major plus.

· Excellent computer skills. (Access, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.)

· Commitment to excellence and high standards, and acute attention to detail.

· Excellent customer service communication skills, verbal and written.

· Familiar with trucking terminology.

· Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

· Ability to work with all levels of management.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

· Able to manage priorities and workflow.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

· Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within a consistently changing environment.

· A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures are cool and noise level can be moderate to high.

· Very fast paced warehouse setting.

 

WORK SCHEDULE: Swing Night/Shift

SALARY:  $37,500
