Equipment & Tools Utilized: Straight truck under 24 ft. long, writing instruments, pallet jack, pallets, skids, knife, hand truck, copier, fax, telephone, hand held package scanner. Essential Functions: Sort freight and load truck according to route sequence.Deliver the merchandise to the customers (Residential and Commercial), in a prompt, safe business like and friendly manner.  Top priority should be given to taking care of the customer’s needs.Turn in all delivery receipts and manifest to the appropriate supervisor.Keep the truck and associated equipment in proper working order.  Report any problems to the Supervisor.  Keep the cab and the cargo area clean and free of clutter.Drive the truck in a safe, lawful and courteous manner.  Always remembering that the people will judge us by the way you handle the vehicle.Hand manifest all deliveries for the day.Driver will be responsible to load and verify packages against manifest prior to leaving.Conduct business in a professional and courteous manner and attitude.Regular attendance.Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner. Requirements: Education/Training: High school diplomaValid drivers license (with no major moving violations)Obtain a DOT card1-3 years in a service oriented position Skill Requirements: Physically fitSafe driving record (with no major moving violations)Math and mechanical aptitudeAble to navigate and read a mapMust have excellent customer service skills/satisfactionMust be a team player and able to work well with minimum supervision  Work Conditions: Physical Conditions: Work in outside ambient temperature during the summerWork in outside ambient temperature during the winter Physical Demands of Essential Functions: STAND  Requires tolerance of standing posture up to (1 hr.) over (8 hr.).  Stand on concrete. WALK Requires walking up to (3 hr.) over (8 hr.).  Walk on concrete, tile and carpet. SIT  Requires tolerance of sitting posture when driving the truck, up to (4 hr.) over (8 hr.). LIFT 1  Lift boxes and product to load onto truck and onto hand truck, weighing up to (62 lb.), from (0-32 in.) to (0-48 in.), up to (40x/hr.). LIFT 2  Lift pallets, weighing up to (50 lb.), from (6 in.) to (6-60 in.), up to (5x/hr). LIFT 3  Lift/lower loaded hand truck up and down stairs, exerting up to (100 lb.) of force, from (24 in.) to (32 in.), up to (16 steps/flights). PUSH/PULL 1 Push/pull loaded pallet jack, exerting up to (50 lb.) of force to initiate movement, and up to (35 lb.) of force to initiate movement, and push up to (35 lb.) of force to maintain movement, up to (50 ft.), up to (3x/hr.). PUSH/PULL 2 Push loaded hand truck, exerting up to (25 lb.) of force, up to (250 ft.), up to (12x/hr.). PUSH/PULL 3 Push/pull on ramp on rear of truck, exerting up to (30 lb.) of force, up to (10 ft.), up to (4x/hr.). CLIMB 1  Requires ability to climb in and out of truck cargo bed.  Step heights of (18 in.), (30 in.)   And (39 in.).  May climb in and out up to (8x/hr.). CLIMB 2  Requires ability to climb in and out of truck cargo bed.  Step heights of (17 in.), (30 in.) and (39 in.).  may climb in and out up to (8x/hr.). CLIMB 3  Requires ability to climb up and down stairs with a loaded hand truck.  Step height of (7.5 in.), and up to (16 steps/flight). GRASP Requires hand grasping of boxes, product, truck controls, hand truck, pallet jack, etc. up   to (7 hr.) over (8 hr.). PINCH  Requires finger pinching of writing instruments, paper, etc. up to (1 hr.) over (8 hr.). FOOT Requires ability to depress the brake and throttle pedals on the truck, with the right foot.  The throttle pedal requires (15 lb.) of forces to depress.  The break pedal requires (30 lb.)  of force to depress. VISION  Requires near acuity to view product identification labels.  Requires field of vision and far acuity to operate truck. COMM  Requires ability to communicate with fellow associates and customers.
