Account Executive Air Express

Our client, celebrating its 25th anniversary in the highly competitive air express industry is seeking an Account Executive reporting to the Vice President of Sales.  This company services a variety of businesses.

 Responsibilities: 


You will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, maintaining and growing current accounts and generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing proposal preparation and presentation(s), start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. 

 As the Account Executive you will expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability. You will have experience prospecting, cold calling and providing freight alternatives. You will plan, develop and execute sales strategies tailored to potential customers, and keep informed on competitive services and pricing.

 A successful Account Executive will be expected to create customized solutions based on strategic considerations, and successfully communicate to our existing customers the differential advantages of the company, resulting in unlimited partnerships and customer retention. 

 Qualified candidates will local and possess a bachelor's degree and 3 – 5 years of industry related experience, preferably in expedited transportation or logistics.  Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required. 

 Background Preferred (but not required)Knowledge of Contact Management Program (i.e. ACT, Goldmine and Sales Logix)Previous success with commission based incentive program International Sales experienceOperations experience with Airfreight ForwardingMultimodal sales: LTL, Truckload, ExpeditedDeveloped and executed business plan strategiesCompleted outside Sales Training Courses
