As an outside sales representative in the Tampa area, you will have the independence to succeed with the security of working for a 25 year old, $3B company renowned in the less-than-truckload (LTL) industry for its culture and values.  What does it take to succeed?The successful sales professional will sell Con-way Freight (LTL) transportation services to potential and existing business customers within a geographically defined territory.  Successful sales professionals will: Meet and exceed pre-determined goals and requirements Develop solutions and build relationships with customers using SPIN selling Will aggressively manage their sales territory to yield the highest results Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers What’s in the job? Contact customers and prospects to sell Con-way Freight (LTL) services Focus on personal sales objectives Build upon existing customer relationships and develop new business opportunities Make sales presentations in a group setting and on a one on one basis Identify situations requiring effective negotiation and maintain positive customer relationships What do you need? At least 2 years of previous sales experience is required.  Outside sales or Business-to-Business (B2B) sales experience preferred Proven success meeting sales goals in previous roles, and a strong desire to win SPIN selling training is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and use of time management abilities to establish priorities Excellent verbal and negotiation skills, and familiarity with computers Ability to listen actively and to respond to questions with complete and accurate answers Ability to understand competitor strategies, products and pricing patterns What’s in it for you?As an outside sales representative you will receive excellent salary and benefits, as well as a bonus program.
