Utility Construction Division Manager / Project Manager

Nationwide utility construction company needs a Division Manager for the Dallas metroplex area.  Qualified candidate must have 10-15 years experience in OSP/ISP telecommunication construction.  Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time throughout Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.Responsibilities include:Overall responsibility to achieve results in the areas of marketing, bid selection, sales efforts, estimating, pre-job scheduling, purchasing, equipment selection, contract negotiation, personnel selection and construction, including cost control, safety, productivity, quality, equipment acquisition/maintenance and job close-out.Implement corporate policies, procedures and organizational structure for the division within the framework of corporate policy.Assist in the establishment and insure compliance of the operational units short-term and long-range goals consistent with overall corporate objectives.Assist subordinates to plan, staff and supervise all work unit activities.Provide coaching, advice, guidance and direction to managers to assure they meet their goals.Coordinate and confer with managers and other operations and corporate employees to resolve operating problems and difficulties.Provide input and direction to the strategic planning as needed.Insure proper invoice and billing procedures are established to effectively manage account receivables and payables.Cultivate and continuously seek to enhance an in-depth understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.In-depth knowledge of OSHA excavation practicesP&L experiencePerform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit.
