The Saint Barnabas Health Care System is seeking a Director of Telecommunications. This position reports to the AVP of IT&S Business Development

Job Function:

* Responsible for supervising and leading the enterprise-wide telecommunications team in an effective and efficient manner with focus upon organizational and departmental strategic intiatives.
* Collaborating with IT&S Leadership in order to plan, maintain and update IT&S goals.
* Serve as a mentor to members of the Telecom team.
* Providing enterprise-wide and regional support to affiliates on voice-systems and voice projects.
* Providing processes, tools, SLA's and procedures to the Telecom Team to ensure standardized methods for technical configuration and design of PBX, voicemail systems, and all other systems installed and supported by the Enterprise-wide Telecom Team.
* Managing vendor relations
* Supervising the development and installation of new sites and facilities.
* Inspecting overall equipment and undertaking site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
* Instilling processes and procedures around standardized NW diagram requirements.
* Providing guidelines and processes for the configuration and monitoring of end device requests phones/PDA/Blackberry
* Assessing and managing phone system metrics
* Providing guidance, support and leadership around hand set replacement, IMAC activity, video conferencing, VOIP, management of the intranet phone database and cell phone/Blackberry deployment.
* Instilling and maintaining processes and procedures surrounding inventory for devices and equipment deployed and installed by Telecom Team.
* Establishing and sustaining key performance indicators for the Telecom Team


Qualifications:

* Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or other related field or equivalent work related experience. Experience in health care field helpful, but not required
* 10 or more years of IT and business industry related work experience with at least 3 years of leadership in managing cross functional teams or projects

Special Equipment /Skills:

* Expertise in working in PBX/ telephone field
* Wiring and cabling in voice/data environment
* Video conferencing
* VOIP
* NEC PBX experience
* Communication, mentoring and leadership skills
* Metrics analysis experience
* Ability to prioritize numerous tasks in a dynamic environment
