Training and Development Specialist (Schaumburg-IL)
•Meet the needs of the Comcast Schaumburg IP Support Center by preparing qualified new employees and enhancing the skills and knowledge of
existing employees by managing the design, development, implementation, and assessment of education processes and programs for the call center operations.
•Develop and deliver the training of Comcast's products including high-speed data, digital voice and video products.
•Particpates in needs analysis to determine training needs within organization.
•Confers with management to gain knowledge of specific work situatioins requiring employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations and technologies.
•Formulates teaching and
determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, determinations, conferences, meetings, workshops.
•Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer
tutorials and reference works.
•Selects or develops testing and evaluation prodedures to be used at completion of training.
•Conducts training ssessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation, on-the-job training, use of computers and software,apprenticeship programs, customer service, sales techniques, health and safety practices, public relations, refresher training, promotional
development, upgrading, retaining displaced workers, and leadership development.
•Tests trainees to measure progress and to evalute effectiveness of training.
•Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
•Revises design of training curriculum and methods to
improvement effectiveness.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance required.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree preferred and 2-5 years related experience or equivalent 4-6 years previous experience required.
Computer skills: Windows and Mac OS, Internet, TCP/IP, networking and routers. Ability to troubleshoot advanced hardware/software configurations.
Experience with ACP-V, ER, TTS preferred.
