Trademark Paralegal

Career Level:  Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) -Order and review full trademark searches to determine availability and perform risk analysis of all new proposed trademarks. -Prosecute and maintain all domestic and foreign trademark registrations and applications -Electronically file all prosecution documents with the US Patent and Trademark Office, including, new applications, extensions of time, statements of use, office action responses, registration renewals, assignments and appointment of attorney. - Liaise with foreign associates regarding prosecution and maintenance of all trademark registrations and applications and facilitate all documentation (i.e., powers of attorney, legalizations) -Draft cease and desist letters with respect to trademark and/or domain name infringement -Work exclusively with the marketing department regarding search, clearance and filing of new tag lines, new product names, review and update of brand guidelines, review print ads, commercials and other marketing material for proper trademark and copyright usage. -Negotiate trademark/copyright licenses for use of third party trademarks and/or logos in various advertising mediums. -Prepare and file copyright applications -Procure domain names -Work with subsidiaries regarding proper trademark usage for their web sites and coordinate new trademark filings when necessary, routine review of all web sites for proper trademark usage. -Review of trademark watch notices to police and protect our intellectual property rights with respect to trademarks -Input, update and maintain database (CPI)for all existing and new trademark applications and registrationsSpecific Requirements -5-8 years prior experience -Familiarity with CPI -Familiarity with Saegis -Working knowledge of trademark prosecution and USPTO rules and procedures .For quick consideration apply here Vonage The Broadband Phone Company service is redefining communications by offering consumers and small business- VolP Internet phones, an affordable alternative to traditional telephone service.
