Tower Foreman

AFL has an immediate need for a Tower Foreman to work on long term projects throughout the Southeast, based out of our Sterlington, LA office. The Tower Foreman will lead a crew of three and will be responsibe for daily activities and reporting to manager and customers. This is a permanent position with possible work weeks being Monday through Sunday. These positions require significant travel. Per diem is set at $80 per day.  PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Pick-up/delivery of supplies, tools, equipment via company vehicle • Will supervise all work on the tower and make sure projects are completed in a timely manner • Installation of coax line, connectors, antenna and accessories • Installation of RF connections and cables • Perform maintenance on tower equipment • Maintain a clean and safe work environment• Responsible for daily paperwork• Responsible for daily reporting to managers and customers REQUIRED SKILLS:  • Ability to climb in excess of 500 ft • Effective problem solving skills - a self starter with organizational skills • Basic installation and maintenance skills • Basic understanding of tower safety and PPE • Must have a valid driver’s license • Tower Climbing Certification • Willingness to travel is a must • Must have strong understanding of tower construction and rigging procedures• Must be Anritsu certified• Must be a self-starter with strong decision making capabilities • Must have strong computer skills, including email.
