Test and troubleshoot installed systems and equipment in the field inclusive of OpenSky, Alcatel microwave, towers, shelters and support systems located at installed locations throughout the State of New York. Travel and occasional overnight stay required. Assure that site outages, alarms and problems are responded to and resolved within contractual specifications. Inspect and certify all equipment installations utilizing various test equipment; (RF test equipment, laptops, etc.), and computer network skills. Coordinate sub-contractor scheduling for scheduled preventative maintenance if infrastructure equipment, inclusive of compounds, towers, antennas and cabling, microwave and radio equipment. Frequently communicate with customers, external and internal engineers and technicians to resolve issues Assist in configuring radio and microwave network system, install software, analyze data, and make necessary upgrades and corrections in the factory and in the field. Frequent use of complex test equipment, and computers, for diagnosis and product set up. The above responsibilities cover most duties performed, but does not exclude other assignments not mentioned. The inclusion of these duties would be in conformity with the level of this position Minimum Requirements: Associates degree or equivalent in an appropriate field with five years related experience. Experience with communications equipment used in the Land Mobile Radio (preferred) or cellular and paging industry. Applicant will be working out of their residence and will require internet connectivity. Position will require working within in a specific area of New York State in order to maintain business unit contractual obligations. Special Requirements: (Include security clearance, special skills, hours, overtime, travel, etc.) Security Background check, overtime required, travel, standard computer skills.
