Provide installation and maintenance of switching and transmission equipment within an MSC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance of Lucent 5ESS Digital Cellular Switch, Executive Cellular Processor, CDMA Network daily operationsPerform OMP, ECP, 5ESS, Any Path Voice Mail, Tellabs 5500 3/1/0 system software updates and hardware additionsPrograms and troubleshoots switch translations and routing and knowledge of IPBH a plusUNIX administration, UNIX scripting support for equipment additions, trouble shooting and reportingWork with Field Engineering team on installation and maintenance of 4.0B Mod CellsitesPerform T1 acceptance testing and turn upWork with various vendors to turn up and test facilities interface transmission equipment.Requirements:
Minimum Position Requirements:Associate degree in related field or equivalent related experience/education 2 years of related experience in the telecommunications industry required; prior wireless experience is preferred
