Staff Accountant - MBA/CPA/SAP

Position Summary: 



Provide assistance with financial reporting and analysis.  This position will participate in month-end closing, ad hoc accounting, and various financial duties.  Assist in budgeting and non-trade inter-company transactions.  



 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:  Other duties may be assigned.  In this position, either directly or through others, the incumbent will:

 

·  Conduct financial reporting and analysis.

·  Assist with month-end closing preparations.

·  Coordinate inter-company transaction activities and follow-up requests.

·  Assist in budgeting.

·  Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.

 

Background/Experience to qualify for this position, the following minimal background and skill levels are required:

 

· A Masters's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university

· Have 3-5 years related accounting experience with previous financial modeling experience necessary; CPA preferred.

· Must have accounting experience utilizing SAP R/3 software.

· Must have Microsoft Office Suite of PC software applications experience with advanced Excel spreadsheet preparation skills.

· Previous experience in the telecommunications industry a plus. 



Necessary Skills/Attributes for this position the following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:

 

· Reads, interprets, and acts on proper understanding of accounting and financial documents based on corporate business financial philosophy.

· Ability to communicate in writing, through email, reports, or orally, accounting and financial reporting matters.  Korean speaking preferred.

· Ability to independently or as a team member achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications. 

· The ability to perform tasks and work assignments based upon general policies where work results are sometimes monitored.  Some analysis is required to make decisions and to determine appropriate courses of action where situations differ and require creativity to search for solutions from among learned experiences.

· The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.

· Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.

· The ability to work either independently or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within established time frames.

 

Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:

 

· Work is generally performed in an office environment.

· Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. 

· Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. 

· Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and project management Stress.

· Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area.

· Occasionally works additional hours beyond normal schedule.

· Position has access to confidential data where disclosure is detrimental to the company’s  interests.
