Sr. Technical Trainer

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Trainer who will head up our Costa Mesa, CA training facility and be responsible for conducting technical training classes on core Mitel products and technologies. 

 

Specific Duties Include:
*Deliver Instructor-led courses, developed by Mitel Instructional Designers, to our Dealers, internal, and end-user communities.
*Manage and maintain all classrooms, labs, and hardware within the facility.  Repairs and upgrades to training equipment are also the responsibility of the Trainer.
*Administer certification exams and assess the knowledge of student participants, if product certification is required.
*Maintain current knowledge of all Mitel products, applications, technologies, industry certifications as well as protocols and standards as they relate to our industry.
*Work with course development teams on an on-going basis to provide constructive feedback on the structure and content of Mitel's course materials, to ensure that both customer needs and educational standards are met.
*Arrange courseware materials, tools and supplies for all classes.
*Adapt course delivery to the knowledge level and learning preferences of student participants and to various logistical challenges when training occurs at a customer site or remote location.

 

Qualifications
*5+ years technical training experience required; technical field experience (field technician, systems engineer, etc.) is an asset
*CCNA, CTP or other technical certifications including other Mitel Product Certifications are an asset
*Must be a self-starter and work well with minimal supervision
*Bachelor's degree or other professional trainer certification an asset
*Courseware development experience is an asset
*Bi-lingual (Spanish) is an asset
*Must be willing to travel
