Sr. Tax Analyst/ Manager

SUMMARYSenior Tax Analyst/Manager will be a key contributor to the corporate tax function of JDS Uniphase. This position is a very hands-on position that will take the lead on JDSU foreign subsidiaries' tax accounting and reserve analysis. The position will also be involved in the international reporting aspects of the US compliance function. JOB DUTIES & TASKS Assist in the preparation of quarterly and year-end world-wide income tax provision under FIN 18, FAS 109, Fin 48 and FAS 123(R) and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Assist in the preparation and review of federal tax return and the accompanying Form 5471 and 8858s. Calculate foreign reserves and foreign transfer pricing adjustments.Analyze and reconcile income tax accounts. Assist with international tax structuring and compliance. Assist as needed in other areas of tax such as in federal and state income tax audits and compliance. Respond to income tax notices. Provide support in tax research and assist with other special projects.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBA/BS Degree in Accountancy required or equilvalentCPA and / or MS in Tax preferredMinimum of 5 plus years tax experience in industry and/or large accounting firmGood working knowledge of FAS 109 Excellent analytical and leadership skills
