Sr. Financial Analyst- Denver, Colorado

MAJOR DUTIES: (May perform any or all of the following duties)
Primary financial contact for one or more operational and/or management areas within the market and provide analytical support and guidance as needed.
Responsible for various reporting on a frequency ranging from daily to weekly to monthly.
Support annual budget and monthly financial close and forecast cycles and perform relevant variance analysis and related reporting.
Analyze actual results against planned objectives.
Responsible for elements of monthly internal financial statement preparation, reporting, and distribution to internal functional leaders.
Coordinate and prepare monthly general ledger accrual entries.
Support the collection team with various other duties including vendor management and procedure documentation.
Prepare and analyze emerging financial trends of the cable division.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.


Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or the recognized equivalent in work experience and self study.

EXPERIENCE:
Advanced spreadsheet application skills (Excel) required.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Access desired.
Access or SQL database skills strongly preferred.
Essbase and Visual Basic macro experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated orientation toward teamwork and attention to detail.
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Demonstrated ability for self-motivation, learning, professional appearance and conduct.
Demonstrated proficiency to communicate effectively and professionally, either orally or in writing, with internal and external customers
Cable industry knowledge preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years accounting/finance work experience
