Rightstaff Inc. is currently looking for a Sr. CDMA Software Engineer for a growing wireless company based in Richardson, TX. 

 Sr. CDMA BSC Software Engineer

 Description:

To maintain and develop new features for current 1xRTT IP-RAN software and develop new Access Network functions for EV-DO Rev A products. Specific experience in the design and implementation of CDMA base station, including call processing system software, networking and IP-based application and real time OS is essential for this position.The successful candidate must have good communications skills and be able to interact with the client's software and hardware development teams as required.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Development and maintenance of CDMA 1xRTT BSC call processing functions, including voice and data signaling message handling, traffic packet handling, RLP, RTP and GRE protocol processing, handoff control, and power control handling.

·  Development and implementation of EV-DO Rev A signaling and packet handling functions in the access network

·  Support for integration testing a debug with other software modules

 

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

·  Experience developing IP-based communication application and technology

·  Tuning experience with IP-based system.

·  Experience with vxWorks OS and Linux OS environments

·  Experience with C/C, Unix, Java development

·  Overall familiarity with CDMA wireless networks and components

·  Deep knowledge of CDMA2000, RLP, RTP and GRE protocols

·  Excellent communication and documentation skills

·  Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

·  3-5 years relevant experience

·  BS or MS in computer science or electrical engineering
