Sr. Business Analyst (Field Operations Systems Support)

Provider of satellite entertainment programming to U.S householdsThis position will be located in our Englewood, Colorado office.
 
The FOSS Sr Business Analyst is responsible for providing timely and accurate reporting and analysis from multiple DIRECTV applications and data sources to DIRECTV Senior Management and various other internal and external business partners.  This includes maintenance and development of reports; development, generation, and delivery data and reports; ad hoc requests; maintenance and development of dashboards and BI Publisher reports.
 
This position works closely with business partners, analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of reporting solutions.  The position will interact with all levels of Business Analysts, Business Intelligence, management and the Home Service operations teams as needed and participate in incident management, quality assurance and user acceptance testing of newly designed subject areas and dimensions. 
 
This position requires the understanding and ability to analyze components of the Home Services division with in DIRECTV, including; field operations, claims management, WOI, training and supply chain. 
The person will need to be able to learn quickly, to work in a fast-paced team-driven environment, and to communicate well with business, technical personnel and management.
Develop, executes and coordinates reports as necessary to support the home services operations.Develop intermediate to complex level analytics reports and validate results;Develop and manage internal and external dashboardsAbility to translate business requirementsProvide production support for the reporting and analytic environment by working the 6255 service desk queueInteracts with all business partners as necessary to fully understand their requirementsProvide subject matter expertise, training, and/or development for operational/production reportsWorks closely with the Field Operations System Support team as it relates to Siebel Field Services and Scheduling applications including but not limited to: Application Enhancement Requests for reporting improvements; Application changes, Schema Updates; Data mapping changes; Subject Area and Dimension updates; Analytics Admin functionsAssist in developing and facilitating in-house training, and documentationUser Acceptance testingOn going communications with team, management and business


High School Diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred, and/or at least three to five years experience in a reporting analysis roleIn-depth knowledge and at least two years of hands-on experience with Siebel.At least one year of application support experienceAt least  two to four years experience with report writing, Siebel Analytics / OBIEE requiredDevelopment experience with BI Publisher desiredT-SQL and Visual Basic desiredStrong knowledge of Siebel interaction with other DTV applications desiredStrong knowledge of DTV Home Services business processes desiredMust have strong database conceptsMust have strong research and data analysis skills, with an ability to compile large amounts of data into meaningful analysisProven strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skillsMust have a strong technical aptitude, excellent oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to clearly communicate information to both a technical and non-technical audienceMust be flexible, innovative, and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet critical deadlinesMust have intermediate skills with the Microsoft Office suite is required.Experience with User Acceptance testingProven organizational, analytical, and planning abilities.Must have ability to read and interpret documents (e.g., operating/maintenance instructions, policy manuals and business requirements)A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent people skills are requiredMust be able to work independently and in a team environmentMust be able to work a flexible/rotating schedule as the needs of the business dictate
