Shipping Coordinator

Resource Recycling Technologies (RRT Global, Ltd.) is currently seeking a self-starter, highly motivated, and flexible individual for the position of Shipping Coordinator.  Candidate should possess exceptional business judgment and discretion as well as the initiative and competence to make a significant contribution to the organization. 

Currently, RRT employs over 250 employees in our Corporate Headquarters in Bellevue, Washington and our “fieldâ€� operations in Los Angeles, Dallas, St. Louis, San Francisco, Detroit, Columbus, and Manila, Philippines to name a few! 

In 2008, the company is expanding to multiple new cities throughout the United States.

RRT provides the Identification, Recovery, Processing, Trading and Export of obsolete metallic assets for public and private corporations, governments, and municipalities.

We assist companies in generating substantial revenue by converting obsolete assets into cash. Often times this can achieve significant costs savings on maintenance and provide much needed warehouse or office space.

Our unique service provides full end-to-end project completion. This includes overall planning, design, disconnection, re-arrangements, new installations, removal, storage, shipping, trading, revenue collection, and cash distribution.

RRT’s direct relationships with certified equipment engineers, shipping companies, and Asian metal smelters allow the companies to get the most cash return for their asset. 

Job Summary:

 

Manages container workflow, including: container scheduling, container tracking, and verifying payments. Generates Shipping reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices; Discover and report discrepancies.  Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in related field.  Relies on pre-established guidelines, experience, and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks and uses various computer programs; Handles data entry and maintenance. Position works under general supervision.  A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.











 

Key Tasks:


Shipping Coordinator works directly for the Shipping Manager to:

 Work with internal operations, steamship lines, and freight forwarders to schedule and coordinate daily shipments.Create steamship bookings.Generate shipping documents daily, including quality assurance checks.Schedule and ensure container pickups.Track bookings and shipments as required.Generate and send out daily invoices.Maintain shipping and operation files.

 

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

 

·  May require an associate's degree or its equivalent and 0-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

·  Logistics related experience preferred

·  Knowledge in Microsoft Suite/Office,  with emphasis on Excel and Access

 

Location: Bellevue, WA.

 

Salary Range: Salary based upon skill set and experience.
