Job Summary:    This position ensures customer satisfaction by answering all inquiries, and handling complaints and troubles in an informative and professional manner. Performs job duties consistent within safety, legal and regulatory requirements; company standards, culture and business practices.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Obtains orders for installation, activation, discontinuance or changes in service by talking with customers, by phone and/or in person, and obtaining the information necessary to fulfill their needs.   Ensures customer satisfaction by filling out contract forms, determining appropriate charges for service requested, collecting deposits, preparing change of address records, and issuing discontinuation orders.   Contributes to revenue generation by recognizing opportunities and soliciting sale of new or additional services when possible.   Resolves customer complaints regarding billing or services rendered by obtaining information and referring complaints of service failures to appropriate departments for investigation, and by working with plant department to resolve customer problems and with data processing to resolve billing problems.   Additional Duties:   Contributes to interdepartmental communications by working with Account Services and Marketing departments as necessary regarding customer requests and inquiries.   Contributes to departmental activities and programs by accomplishing related tasks as needed.     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   Excellent verbal communication skills; calm, professional, and courteous   Ability to record information quickly and accurately   PC and Windows skills, and ability to use multiple computer systems at once   Demonstrated product/service knowledge and sales skills   Organizational skills   Time management skills   Goal oriented   High energy Education and Experience:   In order to accomplish the essential duties of this position, the incumbent must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and one to three years of related experience and/or training and one to three years experience in a call center environment.   Physical Demands and Work Environment:   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
