Senior Territory Manger
The Sr. Territory Manager is responsible for economic product sell-through, customer sales effectiveness, team and personal professional value add to customer sales team. Supports the Division Manager to identify sales opportunities within the assigned territory. Provides customer field support to all distribution channels in assigned distribution area. Provides product training of customer's product sales personnel. Functions as a source of marketing feedback to the company to identify issues by priority level and presents ideas for resolving these issues. The most critical performance measurements & the incentive compensation for this position are based on sell through volume and sales cost effectiveness/control within the assigned territory.
* Develops and implements marketing plans which identify customer market needs to improve competitive advantage within the assigned territory.
* Identifies & develops proactive plans to correct marketing issues within each local market
* Makes customer visits to identify issues & take corrective action
* Effectively trains customer's sales reps in product features, functionality & user applications
* Trains customers to promote Samsung over competitor products
* Initiates proactive strategies to improve sell-through opportunities
* Develops Samsung Customer Sales Advocacy capable and willing to sell and promote the sale of Samsung products.
* Visits, Trains & Coaches sales personnel in assigned cities
* Provides exceptional & innovative customer service
* Develops & maintains positive customer sales relationships through customer visits
* Takes proactive initiative to improve customer sales performance
* Positively promotes the needs of the organization to draw attention to critical Samsung market issues and shares business development opportunities.
* Participates in trade shows to develop business leads as Samsung eyes & ears
* Reports customer issues/needs and competitive opportunities
* Openly shares business development information and opportunities with team members
* Takes proactive initiative to improve sales team effectiveness
* Develops marketing and sales skills to improve product knowledge, provide innovative solutions, & the ability to serve the customer to promote the business.
* Develops knowledge of public relations & marketing techniques, industry changes & direction
* Utilizes mystery shopping as a tool to identify customer market needs
* Takes personal initiative to improve professional skills & abilities to improve effectiveness
* A Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or a business related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
* 4-6 yrs. Telecommunications product sales/marketing/customer training or service experience either in a store or territory sales capacity.
* Must have an understanding of wireless equipment technology and have worked in either a carrier or equipment provider environment.
* Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present and explain wireless terminals technical product and development materials.
* Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of presentation software.
