Senior Level NOC Technician

Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Job Category: Installation/Maintenance/Repair Senior Level NOC Technician Our client, a National Communications provider, is seeking an experienced individual to provide network management and proactive network surveillance for a Converged RF network. The NOC technician will monitor and troubleshoot the National 24 x 7 network.On a day-to-day basis, this individual will be responsible for monitoring Video, High Speed Internet, IP Networking and Voice Products. The Technician will be troubleshooting network alarms using HP Openview and creating tickets utilizing Remedy ticketing system. This mission critical environment requires an individual to be able to multi task and work well with other groups including, but not limited to: Government Affairs, institution loops, Digital Video Engineers, Fiber Construction, Plant Operations, System Engineers, IP Engineers, National NOC, Content PPV, Customer Care and Dispatch groups. To be qualified for this position, individuals should have past work experience within a Network Operations Center. Ideally, our candidate will have experience troubleshooting in a 24 x 7 environment, Networking topology, upgrades and configurations on Cisco equipment, WAN background, and be able to work well in a team environment. The Technician must also be able to work flexible hours.This position is scheduled as a four-five month contract, but may be extended based on the influx of work. Since this is an immediate opening, individuals will need to be able to personally interview. We are unable to provide relocation expenses.
