The training team is looking for candidates to create performance based learning experiences in support of the company's vision and goal to launch Wireless products and services.The Senior Instructional Designer 3 is responsible for project management and coaching the ISD team in the design, development and implementation of training courseware and curriculum for the Wireless product. This individual will collaborate with a large cross-functional business team participating in product and operations development meetings, system kickoff activities, facilitate design and content gathering sessions with ISD team members and subject matter experts.RESPONSIBILITIESUnder broad direction use, apply and mentor designers in the use of ISD theory and toolsProject manage the deliverables for the wireless training solutionsCreate complex learning solutions that may be action learning; multi-day structured learning events, blended designs, and multiple course curricula.Sphere of influence project manager, program managerCreate evaluation strategiesMaintain, and create Wireless product/service enhancementsStays informed on current trends in training industry and related areas by participating in professional organizations or reviewing various training publicationsKnowledge and application of business driversAnalyzes, benchmarks, and performs background research in preparation to create learning solutionsCoordinates quality control, proofreading and implementation strategy of coursewareConducts/participates with partners to plan and deliver Train the Trainer sessionsActs as a performance consultantQualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor Degree Required; advanced degree in ISD preferred8-10 years Instructional Design experienceTelecommunications experience, preferably within the wireless industry highly desiredProven instructional design experience in technical training programsStrong picture, graphics, testing, animation, video and audio skillsSolid experience with web-based training, Internet and Intranet preferredAbility to handle multiple projects and deadlines with high degree of initiative and flexibilityExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalDemonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to relate at all levelsStrong analytical, technical, and organizational skillsStrong project planning and management skillsEntrepreneurial spirit and creative approach to problem solvingProficient in the use of desktop computing tools and software (Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook; desktop publishing tools; project management tools)Experience with graphics editing software and web development software preferredSolid understanding of AICC and SCORMAbility to travel as needed; up to 25% travel expectedSalary/Benefits: > $50,000Job Location: Atlanta, GAJob Number: 7064Company URL: http://www.cox.com/CoxCareer/Company Profile:As the third largest cable provider in the nation, Cox Communications, Inc. is noted for its high-capacity, reliable broadband delivery network as well as the company's ability to provide superior customer service.
