Senior Finance Manager (Divisional)

Symmetricom designs, manufactures and markets atomic clocks and network synchronization and timing solutions used in wireline and wireless telecom networks, space, defense and avionics systems, and enterprise IT networks. Our customers include network service providers, telecom equipment manufacturers, military and aerospace contractors, enterprises, as well as government and research facilities in over 90 countries around the globe.

 

We currently have an opening in our San Jose office for a Finance Manager to support our Telecom Solutions Division.  The position reports to the TSD Divisional Controller.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Provide financial planning, analysis and support for management team of the Telecom Solutions Division.

·         All activities related to business planning, budgeting and forecasting.

·         Partner with division management to drive decision-making.

·         Review/analyze and forecast business revenue/gross margin/operating expense performance.

·         Provide budgetary control and analysis and reporting to department managers.

·         Streamline internal financial reporting processes for greater efficiency and more effective reporting and analysis.

·         Monthly/Quarterly accounting close input and support.

·         Analyze and provide decision-support on sales deal profitability.

·         Provide necessary analysis/information for company’s Earning Release/Analyst call/10Q & 10K/Board of Directors Meeting.

·         Assist management on special projects and financial analysis as needed.

 

Essential Qualifications:

·         Technology company FP&A background, hardware experience desired

·         Professional demeanor with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

·         Experience with financial modeling, Microsoft PowerPoint, advanced Excel spreadsheet skills, working knowledge of Oracle 11i.

·         Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
