Senior Director - Application Operations
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a national leader in their industry with an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Director of Application Operations.
As a Senior Director of Application Operations, you will apply excellent analytical and problem-solving skills along with a solid technical background including SDLC and enterprise application architecture experience to lead a team dedicated to providing 99%+ planned uptime for production applications.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement a performance management strategy for enterprise production applications that drive functional business areas with an emphasis on operations – goal is 99%+ planned uptime; Strategy shall include performance measurement processes and tools for past and current performance levels of enterprise production applications.Drive change management within the organization when necessary to achieve successful implementation of performance management strategy.Serve as an IT leader and liaison to senior management within business functional areas.Responsible for monitoring enterprise production applications and providing support, resolution and reporting of issues reported by functional business areas that meet Service Level Agreements.Responsible for reporting and auditing on the performance and resolution of issues on enterprise production applications.Responsible for management of outsourcing Tier 1 support.Lead, manage and provide mentoring for a team of approximately 20-25 people including 4 managers.Other responsibilities as requested.
REQUIRED SKILLS:10+ years experience in IT management with a focus on leading support organizations dedicated to managing enterprise production applications. Demonstrated expertise in SDLC process & methodology and enterprise application architecture.Proven experience in object-oriented development technologies (Java/J2EE, C#), package software (ERP, CRM) and relational databases (Oracle).Must be able to work in a time-critical environment; strong organizational and time management skills. Solid, demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills – considers potential benefits, costs and ramifications of alternative solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Bachelor’s Degree; Graduate Degree preferred.
