Senior Audit Analyst - Reporting, Auditing Services
p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities Support team and department effort through performance of follow-up control testing of managements action plans, independently performing quality assessments in accordance with internal audit standards, coordinating preparation of quarterly reporting requirements to the Audit Committee and Senior Management. Additionally, track and analyze the department and coordinate other department reporting requirements with external parties. This involves coordinating the collection of data and ensuring the accuracy and clarity of information being presented. In addition, this individual will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating the completion of action plans through independent testing and inquiry with management. Conduct quality assessments of the internal audit groups in accordance with Internal Audit performance standards. This will include independently performing an evaluation of audit work papers, assessing compliance and documenting conclusions, communicating results and identifying solutions with the audit team. In addition, the analyst will need to be knowledgeable on all IIA standards.Independently and objectively analyze and summarize management action plans to ensure internal controls have been implemented. This will involve performing control testing, independently assessing the effectiveness of the control, assuring action is taken to resolve internal control gaps and communicating with all levels of management to finalize the status of the control. Coordinate and perform monthly SOX 404 testing and reporting for parent company requirements.Coordinate the preparation of the quarterly management report for the Audit Committee and Senior Management teams including ensuring accuracy and clarity of information, tracking and maintaining results and reviewing documentation provided by the audit teams.Perform selected audits which includes analyzing business risks, identifying mitigating controls, planning and performing on site testing and determining effectiveness of control systems.Manage and coordinate the audit scheduling for external resources from parent companies and third parties. This will involve maintaining and communicating project timing, resources and changes to the various groups on a regular basis.Track the department budget including preparing monthly budget to actual analysis, performing variance analysis, submitting the annual budget and recording journal entries.Provide assistance with the development and communication of the audit plan and risk assessment. This includes developing and updating presentations for senior management and communication to the audit committee.Coordinate the reporting of subsidiary internal audit requirements for Verizon Communications including communicating directly with Internal Audit Directors and preparation of supporting schedules. p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Qualifications Requires a BA/BS in accounting, finance or related technical experience.
