Senior Application Engineer

Job Summary
Serve as team member or team leader developing and supporting application software.  Receive general instructions for assignments from a manager or more senior technical staff member and work with independence and discretion regarding how to carry out those tasks.  5+ years of experience in web Technologies in Java, JSP, JavaScript, J2EE technologies using Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
Experience in building commercial applications.
Knowledge of other UI Frameworks is nice to have.

Key Duties & Responsibilities (in decreasing Critical Emphasis order)
Serve as team member or technical lead for the design and implementation of products.Manage complexity at the subsystem level. Resolve technical problems. Initiate design changes and provide engineering support to assess customer needs and solve field issues. Conduct and engage in complex software development requiring direct interface with hardware.  Generate design and product documentation. Perform unit testing and integration testing as required. Participate in source code control and software release activities. Serve as a technical mentor to junior members of the engineering staff.  Conduct technical presentations/demonstrations as necessary. Interface with other departments to accomplish product development objectives. Perform other duties as required.Required Experience

Formal Education
BS in Computer Science or technology-related field



Experience (type & duration) 5+ years of server side Java UI development experience using Java Servlets, JSP, or other Java-based UI framework.
Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit, TestNG)
5+ years of experience with web browser technologies, especially DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS 5+ years of experience with web browser technologies, especially DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, JavaScript frameworks, and CSS
