Senior Accountant (Englewood, Colorado)

Comcast West Division

-Prepare monthly financial analysis reports for management review using various financial application tools.
-Prepare, examine and analyze financial statements to ensure accurate reporting of the Companys financial position.
-Analyze business operations to ensure proper accounting treatment and provide suggestions for business improvement.
-Train, develop and motivate appropriate personnel in accounting policies and procedures.
-Prepare and/or review work papers that reconcile and support balance sheet accounts.
-Prepare and post and/or review various journal entries on a monthly basis.
-Prepare and/or review franchise fee payments and copyright filings on a timely basis.
-Participate in special projects, which may include acquisition accounting.
-Interact with Cable Headquarters and system accounting/business office personnel.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
-Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.


Required Skills:
EDUCATION:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent in work experience and self- study. CPA a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum three to five years business experience in an accounting position - public accounting, internal audit and/or general ledger accounting preferred.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficient in spreadsheet (Excel preferred) and word processing applications.
Positive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
