Senior Accountant

Mutual Telecom Services Inc. (MTS) is a telecommunications solutions provider for primarily U.S. Department of Defense customers. Founded in 1987, MTS engineers, furnishes, installs, tests, operates and maintains telecommunications and data systems for COs, PBXs, remotes, WANs, LANs, tactical systems, and secure systems. MTS maintains telecommunications networks including transmission and multiplexing systems inside and outside plants. MTS employees are deployed across the globe and are supported by our two facilities in Massachusetts and Virginia. MTS is a wholly owned Subsidiary of Black Box Corporation.

 

Senior Accountant

In this role you will report to the VP of Finance and provide accounting and financial support to the MTS division of Black Box. 

 

Duties include:Monthly Close responsibilitiesQuarterly Payroll reporting reconciliationParticipation in quarterly and yearly reviews and auditsImplementing and adhering to corporate SOX complianceMonthly/Quarterly financial reportsMonthly variance analysisCommunication with managementProcess improvement and set upForecasting financials and tracking changesOther special projects as needed

 

Experience/Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of accounting experienceExpertise in Microsoft OfficeGovernment contractor experience a plusStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written skillsExperience with financial reporting, forecasting, and analysisTeam player

 Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA required
