Sales Support Representative

iPCS provides Sprint wireless service to mid-sized cities and rural areas in eight states, from New York to Nebraska. Headquartered in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, iPCS has over 500 employees who are located throughout their territory.

We currently have an opening for an Sales Support Representative located in Schaumburg, IL.

This position is responsible for the analysis and execution of the support functions for the business and indirect channels with a focus on the commercial accounts. Support for these channels includes business and consumer credit checks, order processing and tracking, demo phone management, and training and sales tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1. Includes helping with problem-solving activities, assisting with customer service-related situations, assisting with any personnel-related situations. Communicate any issues/matters regarding the Sales Support Department to the department manager.

2. Handle customer calls as well as escalated customers to resolve problems.

3. Responsible for accurate, timely processing and tracking of all new accounts for the B2B Reps and Indirects.

4. Responsible for tracking demos, BOF orders and commissions for the B2B and Indirect Reps.

5. Issuing credits to customer accounts.

6. Assist B2B and 3rd Party resellers with questions.

7. Set up employee and demo accounts for the 3rd party resellers.

8. Stay updated on new products and services and on promotional as well as service problems and/or outages and relay this information to the Sales Support Reps.

9. Evaluate all Sales Support processes on a regular basis to insure that the department is operating at its highest level.

10. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.



Requirements
Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. Two year-previous supervisory experience, in addition to one year of customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Knowledge of the telecommunications industry.

2. Knowledge of various computer software applications.

3. Strong oral communications skills.

4. Skill in operating a variety of office equipment, including PC, printer, copy machine, facsimile, calculator and telephone system.

5. Ability to plan, organize and delegate work.

6. Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.

7. Ability to function effectively in high stress situations.
