Sales AssistantOCCUPATION:Technical Customer Service POSITION OVERVIEW: JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision, responsible for assisting with the administration of the Sales and Marketing Department which is responsible for the solicitation of new, residential and commercial or upgrades in Charter services. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service through quality, commitment, courtesy and teamworkReceive incoming telephone calls, take messages and direct calls Assist customers with questions/customer service related issuesVerify sales paperwork, solicitation activity and commission sheets; complete payroll for direct sales personnel/contractorsPrepare department sales, management and other reports as requiredMonitor sales representative activities; tracking, auditing for charge backs assist with daily shift management Perform payment processing for Sales collections; conduct payment reconciliation and other data entry for payments and adjustmentsPerform data entry for department-generated ordersProvide clerical support, as neededPerform other duties as requested by supervisorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A.  Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeAbility to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional mannerAbility to demonstrate courtesy and patience with both internal and external customerAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, Cable Billing System)Ability to use, handle, and manipulate objects such as paper, pencils, keyboards, and mouseAbility to wear telephone headsetAbility to work independently Ability to work while seated for prolonged periods of timeKnowledge and ability to use the following office equipment: computer, telephone, copier, fax, calculator, and stapler Knowledge of direct sales and telemarketing procedures Knowledge of general office procedures Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusB.  Education (level and type)High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociates degree in business sales, marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience C.  Related Work Experience                            Number Of YearsCustomer Service work experience                          1 year Sales office experience                                         1 yearD.  Certifications and/or LicensesWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment Send This Link To A Friend
