Sales Analyst
SUMMARY:
Provide detailed, in-depth research and analysis on sales department performance for new installs and upgrades of core services. Compile data into reports with succinct executive summary and back up documentation, and make presentations. Facilitate efforts to improve customer database and data mining ability. This position has extensive contact with personnel as well as leadership from all areas of the organization and industry.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Track, compile, analyze and report (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) on sales performance, sales opportunity, and commissions, connects, disconnects, penetration, ratios, revenue, profitability; subscriber life, viewership, and sales retention by offer and source.
* Research new sales opportunities and develop proposals for implementing new sales programs and business plans. Construct and report the findings of sales programs. Conduct statistical analysis. Recommend changes for improved effectiveness.
* Compile and analyze revenues and expenses, price and packaging models, and subscriber, pay unit and PPV projections related to sales efforts. Assist in preparation of sales models, forecasts and budgets including cost estimates, budget tracking and reconciliation.
* Conducts sales performance analysis including troubleshooting of sales performance inadequacies for each channel, and recommending and implementing improvements.
* Performs competitive analysis including interfacing with marketing to discover market potential and measuring results against competition to identify where and why we succeed/fail against competition.
* Coordinate incentive calendar with outside vendors, while ensuring operational alignment with Division sales and marketing priorities.
* Communicates and executes incentives, campaigns and promotions. Generates high employee motivation, involvement and performance, and delivers incentive awards and sales accomplishments.
* Evaluate site performance results including sales, cancels, sales-to-install rate, performance metrics for each channel, use of discount codes and Full Value sales.
* Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of three years database analysis.
* Must include extensive coursework and high proficiency in marketing, sales, financial analysis, statistical analysis and accounting.
* Very high proficiency in computer skills required, including databases such as Microsoft Access and the SQL language.
* Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to make recommendations based on market studies and summarize findings in concise reports.
* Coaching skills to provide performance feedback to supervisors is required.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports.
* Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word) is required.
* Must possess and maintain a valid CA Driver's License and a good driving record.
* Must be available to work extended hours as needed.
