The Business Account Executive-BAE is responsible for promoting and selling High Speed Internet, video services and related products & services within the Comcast Central California Region's franchise area.
The concentration of this position will be on the high-speed data services to Small/Medium sized businesses (SMB's) throughout a specific region via cold calling and relationship building within local communities. The BAE will be responsible for developing and maintaining a funnel to support their business objectives via working prospective business customers. The BAE is responsible for selling the full suite of Comcast SMB products including a five-product data service suite that includes Workplace, Remote Worker Internet service, Online Fiber Services, VPN, static IP's and Web hosting. In addition, the BAE will also sell Video (basic, digital and HDTV) and SMB music services including background music for retail locations and music on hold applications.
Major Duties: (May perform any or all of the following duties)
Ability to consistently meet minimum monthly sales goals and deadlines with little supervision.
Develop and maintain a sales funnel for High Speed Internet and Digital Video services to SMB accounts in assigned geographical area.
Compose and deliver quality written communications and proposals on behalf of Comcast.
Initiate, schedule and attend meetings with business professionals when applicable. •Prepare financial models and analysis as directed for the purpose of reaching business decisions as they relate to commercial business.
Must have the ability to work with business professionals and Comcast local departments to ensure that projects are completed to the customer's satisfaction. •Conveys order information politely and efficiently to order entry team while at the customer's site. Complete all sales transactions and monitor the scheduled installation dates, as provided by Business Sales & Services support.
Completes all paperwork accurately, legibly and thoroughly on a daily basis. •Maintains current knowledge of products and services, demonstrates knowledge of the Comcast offers including, programming and various promotional offers, while performing sales presentations.
Provides exceptional customer service assistance as needed.
Submits sales claims for unpaid installed sales within allotted time frame.
Projects a professional business manner and operates with a high degree of integrity.
Responsible for a full understanding of Comcast telecommunication services and must be able to thoroughly explain the features, benefits, prices and the potential impact those services may have on the commercial environment.
Performs other duties as requested.
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills:
College graduate or equivalent is required.
Experience:
A minimum of 2-4 years prior experience in a SME focused sales department, customer service department or combination of both preferred.
1 - 2 years direct experience with either door to door SME or consumer sales, highly preferable
General Qualifications:
A valid California driver's license, good driving record and reliable transportation is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required, as this position is responsible for ensuring potential customers understand current promotions and products available to them.
Ability to work within Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
Excellent detail orientation and follow through skills.
Strong discretionary skills, as this position will have access to and work with information of a confidential nature.
Proficient in the skills outlined in the company's Sales Model of Excellence competencies.
