SOLUTIONS MANAGER III

JOB RESPONSIBILITYTechnical business development and sales support towards Tier 2 wireless operators with focus on GSM/UMTS Radio access, Core Networks, and LTE/SAE networks.Participate in the Ericsson sales process, by performing the Customer Solution Responsible (CSR) role. Participate in RFx responses, tenders, presentations, consultations and commercial proposals by providing product information, value argumentation, bill of materials and tender network designs. Develop and recommend technical solutions and commercial strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and deployed systems infrastructure. Proactively work with Customer Accounts and Services organizations to create competitive offers using Total Cost of Ownership models. Meet customers and guide them into purchasing Ericsson products and solutions. May be called upon to attend C-Level customer discussions.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCES REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Engineering. Masters preferred. 10+ years related experience in the telecom field with extensive knowledge of wireless telecommunications marketplace. Previous experience in SME/Product Management/Technical Sales Support role.The candidate should understand the base technology of end-to-end GSM and UMTS Solutions, strong understanding of IP Networking concept, deep technical competence of either GSM/UMTS Radio Access Network or Core Network, LTE/SAE and transport, related standards, and technology evolution. Knowledge of IMS is a plus. The candidate must have: technical business understanding of large information networks and telecommunication technology; and knowledge of industry standard practices for contracts.The candidate must have a business development, creative mindset with the ability to effectively present business driven solutions to customers at all levels, demonstrating the value of the proposed solution.Excellent communication skills, team player attitude and ability to build a trustworthy and lasting relationship with the customer, other groups in KAM, product areas/lines, standards groups and other internal organizations are necessary for this position. Strong presentation skills are required, in order to successfully push the Ericsson portfolio in the market place. Ability to listen and negotiation skills are essential.The job provides frequent travel in the North American market and some international travel to the Ericsson Headquarters and its subsidiaries in Europe.
