Job Description:
Our high performance UltraCMOS RFIC products provide unprecedented performance for our customers and push the capabilities of CMOS to limits that were previously unthinkable. We are now looking for an experienced RF/Wireless R&D/Engineering Technician. The selected candidate will work in an engineering lab environment supporting the development of RF Integrated Circuits. The candidate will take on a wide array of tasks which may include working on the bench helping with device validation and characterization, maintaining automated lab test stations, building test fixtures, and doing board level assembly work.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or military equivalent training. Minimum of 5 years related experience in an engineering environment with RF/wireless products and components. Knowledge of fundamental electronics (i.e.- Ohm’s law, resistor dividers, basic AC/DC circuit characteristics, dB and dBm levels etc.) Experience taking accurate measurements with typical bench-top RF test equipment Knowledge of RF measurement techniques including S-parameters, noise figure, IP3, power compression, Harmonics, and standards’ specific requirements. Experience with Agilent RF equipment, including Spectrum Analyzers, RF Generators, Network Analyzers, Power MetersOrganizational skills to maintain Documentation of work assignmentsAbility to hand-solder fine-pitch components using a microscope and soldering iron/hot plate Ability to read and interpret schematics, BOMs, and data sheets Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuits to the component level Ability to make fixtures and interfaces using Machine shop to permit device testing and interconnection
Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision, and have excellent problem solving skills.
