Project Manager - Manufacturing - Operations

JDSU is seeking an experienced project manager who wants to join our world class Communications Test and Measurement Operations organization. In this key role you will utilize your excellent business acumen, team building skills, and technical background to manage the division's Operations projects/programs. You will oversee Contract Manufacturer relationships, outsourcing programs, product transfers and M&A due diligence.QualificationsThe ideal candidate would have a BS and an MBA; however, any candidate with sufficient manufacturing or industrial engineering, supply chain, order to cash, manufacturing outsourcing, management of contract manufacturers, program management and business skills including financial analysis will be considered. Project Management certification would be helpful.A minimum of 3-5 years of program management experience is required, preferably in the telecommunications field. Preference will be given to candidate with significant experience in manufacturing, contract manufacturing management, supply chain and production transfers, new product introductions, outsourcing and M&A due diligence and integration planning from an operations perspective.Experience managing Lean initiatives, including manufacturing processes, outsourcing, contract manufacturing management and New Product Introduction (NPI) would be helpful. Knowledge of DFM, DFX, and Six Sigma also helpful.Excellent written communication, management of group processes and use of oral presentation skills are required. Indepth experience using Microsoft PowerPoint, Project, Excel and Word is required to develop, monitor and deliver desired project results.Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills are required to organize and manage large-scale projects with cross-functional team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Must be adaptable, flexible and able to work well under pressure and able to manage changing or conflicting priorities. Must be able to develop business cases, budgets, statements of work, service level agreements, project schedules and operations inputs to legal contracts - and successfully negotiate resources and funding with senior management and external partners.The above qualifications are not to be interpreted as a complete and detailed description of all the requirements of the job.
