Program Manager (Engineering Services)

As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading engineering services engagements with OEM customers in the effort to integrate and commercialize our embedded wireless modules into our customer platforms. Customer platforms may include routers, WinCE handhelds, Linux devices, Notebooks, Vehicle Tracking, or similar wireless platforms.  You hold overall project management responsibility for the scope, schedule and budget of your projects.  You will also direct the engineering activities within your projects. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

q Completion of projects on time and on budget

q Project deliverables and customer acceptance

q Project scope, risk, and requirements management

q Project communications internally and externally

q Construction and maintenance of project schedules

q Project initiation – project opening, internal kick-off, external Kick-off, etc.

q Project planning – pre and post agreement signing

q Project execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure

 

Requirements:

 

q BSc in EE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. 

q 5 years + of related industry experience

q Excellent project management skills and strong communication skills

q Effective judgment and customer management skills

q Proficient with project management methodology such as PMI and project management tools such as MS Project

q Knowledge of GSM/UMTS CDMA/EV-DO communication systems and associated regulatory, industry and carrier certification requirements and processes

q Experience with Embedded Systems (WinCE, Linux, RTOS) is a plus

q Knowledge of RF performance optimization is a plus

q Experience in product design and integration is a plus

q Knowledge of other languages a plus (Chinese, Japanese, etc.)
