Job Description Principal Systems Tools Engineer  We are looking for a Principal Systems Tools Engineer, on behalf of our client.  In this position you will report to a Software Development Manager.  This is a very visible position that may have additional responsibilities as the company moves to other platforms. Responsibilities: Responsible for complex scripting and web based tools development in a fast-paced engineering environment. Responsible for tying diverse development and test applications into cohesive tooling infrastructures. As a key member of the engineering development organization, provide the backbone support for both development and testing environments. Researching and resolving complex issues. Devise solutions for improving development and test processes.Requirements: Advanced degrees with 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of both. Strong knowledge of Linux operating system environment. High level comprehension of Perl, Python, and/or TCL scripting. Java, C/C++ programming is a plus. HTML, PHP, JavaScript, ActiveX, XML/SOAP is desired. Experience in building IP lab network configurations and maintaining their associated components (Layer 2/3 switches, ping hosts, etc.). Web page design experience preferably using pre-canned web tools such as FrontPage, Dreamweaver, etc. is a plus.
