We are looking for a motivated and talented Solutions Architect and Leader with expertise in integrating systems and technologies, location based services & related technologies, and wireless telecommunications to assist the sales and operations teams in pre and post-sales proposal, demo, engineering, and integration support, primarily for international customers. You will be a key contributor to customer RFI, RFP, and RFQ responses, as well as supporting field demos, analysis, and system integration activities. The candidate will work closely with internal Product Management, Development, R&D, Deployment, and Operations teams to define proposed solutions to customer requirements, identify and select solution partners and vendors, and support resource planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities for sales opportunities. The candidate must have strong system engineering & integration skills, preferably in wireless location and/or mobile surveillance & security systems. The candidate will also contribute to driving product roadmaps and plans based on sales, marketing, and customer input.
Candidates should be senior solutions architects, system engineers, or system analysts with proven experience in defining system architectures, integrating systems, solving challenging technical problems, and driving system development. Professional attributes should include a successful track record architecting and integrating innovative solutions, strong communications skills, and customer and partner relationship management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:Provide pre sales and post sales technical & engineering support to sales team. This includes presentations and technical support in customer meetings, assisting the sales team in identifying the customers' requirements and needs, and translating requirements into sound technical solutions and architectures that can be deployed by TruePosition and its partners in an effective and cost efficient manner.Provide support in negotiating customer and partner contracts and establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Provide ongoing account and customer support post deployment in partnership with the sales team to identify new revenue generation opportunities, establishing sound account strategies, and promoting TruePosition offered services and new features and products.Work with Product Management and R&D on proposed solutions, including review of Market Requirements Documents (MRD) and System Requirement Documents (SRDs).Identify and work with potential partners on the overall architecture and solutions.Provide feedback to Product Management to enhance the quality of TruePosition's product roadmap.Work closely with program management team in forecasting, scheduling, budgeting, and deployment plans at customer locations.Serve as the technical lead for deploying proposed solutions and architectures.Support customer demos.Support customer acceptance of deployed systems.Day to day responsibilities include reviewing service and product requirements from business development and marketing teams, performing architecture and requirements analysis, developing UML models, and deriving and developing system, interface, performance, and OAM&P requirements, reviewing system and component designs, reviewing integration and test plans, and providing technical support and guidance to the development teams and partners.Evaluate new and emerging technologies and vendor solutions.Vendor and/or partner technical evaluations.
Experience:Extensive experience in defining integrated systems and technologies, location based services & technologies, and wireless telecommunications systems.Specific knowledge of analog/RF, digital hardware, digital signal processing, software development, simulation and analysis preferred.Knowledge and working experience with Cellular/PCS (UMTS, CDMA, GSM), wireless network protocols, WiMAX, Location Based Services (LBS), Network Protocols, Security Protocols, SS7, IS-41, TCP/IP, ISUP, etc.Experience in design, development, integration, test, and deployment of large-scale systems.Well-versed in system modeling & tools.Strong analytical skills.Demonstrated leadership experience in previous work assignments.
Qualifications: B.S. or M.S. in Engineering is strongly preferred.10+ years of system engineering, development, & integration experience.Proven experience with full development lifecycle.Ability to assess program needs and define solutions.Strong leadership skills and creative thinker.Ability to effectively interface with internal staff, partners, and vendors.Strong oral, written and presentation skills.Strong organizational skills.Must be a self-starter with strong problem solving skills.
