Principal SCM Engineer

As part of our strategic growth, Amdocs is currently seeking a Principal SCM Engineer located in Seattle, WA. Responsibilities:· Work with engineering managers and architects in developing SCM processes, such as source code layout, developer workflows, branching strategy, code propagation strategy, release processes, and defect tracking tool configuration.· Work with architects to develop build approach for software product line assets, products and suites, including Maven site generation.· Design and implement software manufacturing infrastructure, such as development workstation configuration, SCM tool administration, build server administration and configuration, continuous integration frameworks, and Maven repository configuration.· Provide support to developers using software manufacturing infrastructure.· Manage and facilitate small Scrum team to focus on shared assets of software product line and developer experience, meeting needs of developers and customers.Requirements:· Big-picture understanding of how SCM processes work for a global development team.· Ability to design, implement, document and maintain appropriate SCM processes.· Ability to configure, administer and support end-users needs for Perforce and ClearCase.· Ability to configure, administer and support CruiseControl for building a software product line.· Understanding of Maven, including repository management, site generation, and its release processes.· Ability to write, maintain and support Ant, Perl and Shell scripts.· Linux administration and configuration techniques, such as Cfengine.· Good documentation and communication skills.· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.Travel/Relocation:Minimal travel may be required for this position.  Domestic relocation assistance is available.
