Pricing Business Analyst

General Summary:

Under direct supervision, this position is responsible for conducting and assisting in the documentation of simple to moderate business analysis projects.  This is the entry-level Business Analyst position.

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: (*Essential Functions)

1.  Develops, maintains and monitors various analysis reports such as revenue trends, revenue reports, rate and capacity trends and network optimization utilizing call detail records and other key performance-tracking metrics.

2.  Produces and furnishes to management routine and recurring objective analyses and recommendations concerning all findings.

3.  Works closely with other departments to evaluate and investigate variances and execute operational tasks.

4.  Monitors performance measures to ensure sound information is available on a timely basis.

5.  Prepares business plan presentation materials for use in executive reviews.

6.  May perform industry and competitor analyses to identify opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.

7.  Develops generic customer pricing based on guidelines provided by management.

8.  Develops custom pricing for key customers based on direction from management.

 

Job Requirements/Experience:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or a related field preferred.

2.  0-2 years of related experience in Corporate Finance, Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, etc.

3.  A basic knowledge of general accepted business principles.

4.  Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.

5.  Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SQL and/or other related applications.

6. Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
