Responsible for management/supervision of warehouse operations and personnel for all system warehouses.
• Coordinates the activities of warehouse control personnel to include; ordering/purchasing, receiving, stocking, issuing and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment converter preparation and parts for those areas; all in conjunction with the Comcast policies and procedures.
• Monitors all purchases of capital, labor and material against department budgets.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers and other departments to ensure approved material is available to field personnel.
• Establishes guidelines/ratios for the appropriate turnover rates, product mix, slow-moving/obsolete inventories and freight issues.
• Ensures that all purchases are properly coded and processed by the local AP department.
• Plans and creates layout of warehouse space for efficient inventory storage, turnover and receipt/shipment of materials.
• Creates standard operating procedures for day-to-day operations of warehouse management and inventory control procedures.
• Manages periodic physical inventories to balance with perpetual inventory.
• Monitor and manage levels of inventory and non-inventory materials and equipment.
• Oversees weekly cycle counts.
• Develops and supervises an effective material (asset) transfer system.
• Assists in preparation of budgets and various inventory reports.
• Oversees the proper check-in/check-out and preparation procedures for converters and modems. Manages monthly reconciliations.
• Determines suitability and provides analysis of vendor products for use.
• Plans and manages annual inventories.
• Participates in Capital budget process.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:
Education:
Bachelors Degree

Experience:
• 5-10 years of related work experience
• Minimum 2 years CATV and warehouse experience
• Knowledge of the operation of a computerized warehouse management system. CIFA and Cable Data a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot digital converters and modems
• Basic knowledge of Windows based software and working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Ability to remain calm and courteous when interacting with employees, external customers as well as vendors
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work harmoniously with other employees at various organizational levels
• Plan, prioritize, and organize work with appropriate timeliness. Ability to interpret and follow instructions/specifications
• Ability to work with hand and power tools as well as the ability to operation a fork lift, pallet jack and hand truck
• Ability to drive a Comcast vehicle
• Ability to work all year round in all weather
• Ability to lift 70 plus pounds
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must have a valid driver's license in good standing
• Ability to become DOT certified
