Job description:
The candidate will design and manufactures laser sub-system such as optics mounts, fixtures, and alignment tools. The job function includes analysis/prediction of reliability for the designed mechanical sub-assemblies. The candidate will conduct the stability/reliability test with an organized test schedule. He/she is expected to learn new knowledge on simple but necessary optics, in order to incorporate together with his/her own mechanical design experiences. The candidate should be able to pin-point the structural defects based on the test results and creatively improve the designs. An ability to conduct a thermal stability analysis is essential.
Requirements:
- MSc in optical/mechanical engineering (or BSc with 2+ year experience)
- Strong hands-on experiences in 3D modeling tools (AutoCad, ProE, SolidWorks, etc)
- Knowledge on optical and mechanical material properties and/or Gaussian beam propagation is a big plus.
