 The Operations Controller will report to the CFO and have the authority and responsibility for operational accounting, financial planning, and assisting in implementing and maintaining internal controls in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly 'hands-on' position and you will lead and develop the operational accounting department, work with senior executives and assist in various special projects. Duties & Responsibilities: Â
·       Financial Planning (work directly with President and VPs to develop annual and 3-5 year rolling financial plans; provide analytical and systems support)
·       Advise Management on plan implications (profit, project accounting, growth rates, etc.)
·       Develop alternative scenarios based on historical performance and future expectations
·       Provide leadership and support to the CFO and CEO on M&A transactions and other strategic initiatives.
·       Monitor, report, and evaluate operating income, project costs and contribution margins. Prepare estimates to support financial planning such as sales or revenue forecasting, cost analysis, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, and corporate reporting.
·       Prepare monthly updates of the annual forecast and ensure consistency with the annual plan
·       Business Proposal Development and Project Pricing (develop a thorough understanding of the business and learn business operational requirements and trends to advise on business proposals development and project pricing strategy)
·       Monitor Financial Plans (partner with Vice Presidents to monitor variances in plan versus actuals and analyze project completion costs against budgets; continuously review metrics/measurements and processes to maximize efficiencies/effectiveness and improvements for business operations)

·       Streamline and improve the monthly and quarterly close process.
·       Drive budgeting and forecasting process
·       Develop appropriate metrics and dashboard for monitoring the company's performance

Candidate Profile:
Experience should include at least ten or more years business experience in technology preferably in a complex technology environment with a requirement to be very 'hands-on' in the job performance. Knowledge of telecommunications and project-based accounting would be very desirable. The appropriate candidate must be a self-starter capable of operating with little hands-on direction.Â

Qualifications:
·        Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience
·        At least 3 years management experience
·        Demonstrated track record of success in financial planning and operational accounting systems
·        Exceptional analytical and real-time problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to provide solutions
·         Knowledge of financial systems and tools especially Excel. Epicor experience is a plus.
·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·        Demonstrated successful experience leading cross functionally
·        Ability to exercise positive influence in individual and group situations on a regular basis
·        Ability to lead in a fast-paced and rapidly emerging business environment
·        Superb attention to detail yet able to operate at the strategic level
·        Demonstrated professional integrity
·        Some travel will be necessary
