This is a 2 year contract in Durham, NC. Skills : VLans, router configurations, ability to bounce routers, troubleshoot, understand Layer 1 (circuits), activate ports, multitask & work tickets. True customer services skills- must be able to assist customers who may not be technical.These positions are for the NIGHT SHIFT 7:30pM - 7:30aM, 12 hour shift AWS=2days on/2days off, every other weekend, 24x7x365 network support of customer. Job Description:Advanced knowledge of network operation, configuration and troubleshooting. TCP/IP, Router skills, Switch skills, VLANs, VPN technology and implementation, Routing Protocols (BGP,OSPF & EIGRP), NAT/PAT address translation, HSRP configuration, VoIP, Cisco command structure and usage. Familiar with the following monitoring and recovery tools, NMC, NV6000, Cisco Works, Problem and change systems. Candidate must pass Drug testing/7yr criminal background check, credit check.
