Network Service Maintenance & Activation Tech II Phoenix Description:Summary: Responsible for design, implementation, installation, maintenance and repair and long term engineering of the switch and the telephony equipment necessary for switched telephony communications. Coordinates with other departments including NOC on all major reported network problems.1-Maintains the Central Office switching equipment, transmission equipment, power equipment, battery plants and other ancillary equipment2-Tests, turns-up and maintains local dial tone service.3-Troubleshoots and repairs switch issues and monitors traffic capacity.4-Interprets and resolves error messages in the switch and acts as a primary liaison with other departments to correct the error messages.5-Interfaces with ILEC's and Long Distance carriers for installation and repair of circuits.6-Remains current on the latest switch technology through completion of required/recommended training.7-Maintains the installation, maintenance and repair records for the switch and associated ancillary equipmentQualifications:Typical Training / Experience - HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience; Specialized skill training/certification may be required; 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility requiredSalary/Benefits: > $75,000Job Location: AZ, AZJob Number: 6967Company URL: http://www.cox.com/CoxCareer/Company Profile:As the third largest cable provider in the nation, Cox Communications, Inc. is noted for its high-capacity, reliable broadband delivery network as well as the company's ability to provide superior customer service.
