National Account Executive - Data Networks

The National Account Executive - Data Networks is responsible for the recruiting, training and managing of an agent base of VAR, System Integrators and vertical channel partners selling BullsEye Telecom voice and data products and services. He/she ensures that the agent base is meeting or exceeding contractual obligations and helps develop strategic sales plans to meet or exceed corporate sales goals.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Others duties may be assigned:

Leads a team of independent agents consisting of local, regional and national data network solutions partners.

Provides the sales management and support necessary to grow the channel's business and achieve the projected unit, revenue growth and margins as defined by the company's business plan and strategic goals.

Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with the agents and their distribution channels.

Ensures the agents in the field have the proper tools and processes/programs to be successful. Provides training and ensures understanding of BullsEye products, services, processes and programs.

Works with the agents to ensure they are positioning BullsEye products/services appropriately for each specific customer. Presents BullsEye’s data communications products as a solution to customer’s needs.

Books new networks to meet established monthly quota.

Supports BullsEye direct sales channels on data networking opportunities.

Maintains open and effective lines of communication throughout the organization to maintain a sense of teamwork, enthusiasm, pride, and quality workmanship. Reinforces the company's commitment to excellence.

Reviews regional competitive intelligence and proactively communicates this information to marketing.

Represents the company at trade association meetings to promote services.

Day and overnight travel required by air and/or automobile.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have direct and indirect channel sales experience, and a successful track record of selling broadband networks. Must have managed a base of data communications partners who provide networking solution elements to multi-site business accounts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university; 3-5 years of successful telecom sales experience, preferably managing an agent base in a vertical channel; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience selling through VAR and agent channelsTechnical sales experience selling WANs and managed network solutions is REQUIRED. Must have strong technical knowledge of applications. Previous technical sales engineer experience is highly desired.Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels within an organization. Possess strong interpersonal skills and a sensitivity to understand customer needs and business issues. Must be able to work independently in the sales process and closing sales.
