About Motricity:

Motricity is a company whose core business is technology.  As a Network Engineer, you will be part of a team whose primary responsibilities include the evaluation, acquisition, installation, maintenance and support of our data network systems. You will provide expertise and leadership in the maintenance and support of Motricity's production network. Work closely with systems administrators, project managers and architects to implement our core network strategy.

 

About the Marketing Specialist position:

Coordinates and implements marketing communication projects with responsibilities that includes public relations, special events management, advertising, and creating brand awareness. Organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports. Prepare status reports on marketing efforts.

 

The Marketing Specialist at Motricity will help plan, develop and implement marketing projects within specialized disciplines: Web Content Administration, Trade Shows/Events, Public Relations. May involve managing related vendors, participating in literature fulfillment process and providing support to marketing personnel in developing and implementing promotions and marketing campaigns.

 

Essential Functions:

General to all disciplines:

 

· Organize and gather content for updates to the corporate website and intranet as needed.

· Assist with other marketing projects and campaigns such as developing and implementing promotions or marketing communications activities.

· Recommend and implement opportunities to improve process within the various disciplines.

· Provide back-up support in the planning and implementation of all Communication Disciplines: Trade Shows/Events, Public Relations & Advertising.

· May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

 

Trade Shows/Events:

Manage and coordinate all logistics for trade shows & events. From booth space selection to show services: labor, freight, conduct on-site supervision of set up and dismantle at larger shows, distribute pre-show packets to all staff, and hold pre-show meetings where appropriate. Continued evaluation and upgrading of booth/displays to ensure product/brand are always displayed in the most advantageous ways possible. This includes keeping up to date on the latest advances in display graphics, design and flow. Produce all associated promotional materials surrounding show, i.e. collateral, invitations, etc., where appropriate.

 

Specific for Public Relations:

Establish and cultivate relationships with the various trade relations; handle the day-to-day product PR for Motricity business, including product releases, application articles and editorial requests. Create & maintain an editorial calendar and look for opportunities where Motricity could submit relevant articles or product updates. Fill out all directory requests and look for additional opportunities to be listed. Provide strategic/tactical direction for product PR campaigns.

 

Nature and Scope:

This position interacts with all levels of internal and external personnel. This interaction requires solid communication and organizational skills to communicate and implement plans and activities. Effectiveness in this role requires a general knowledge of Motricity’s marketing communications programs and best industry practices in the various disciplines: Trade Shows/Events, Advertising, Public Relations.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or a related discipline or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred.

 

Experience:

Requires at least three (3) years in a similar role. Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
