Marketing Analyst - Oakland, CA
Cable West Division
This position is responsible for providing information on and analysis of all aspects of the area marketing and sales efforts. This position will generate and analyze both regularly scheduled and as-needed reports on subscriber growth, mix, migration, and ARPU, in addition to campaign performance and subjective subscriber data including demographics and activity reasons.
Major Duties: (may perform any or all of the following duties)
- Prepare daily and weekly sales and retention reports, including pending connect, disconnect, upgrade, non-pay and completion data.
- Track bundled customer migration each month, analyzing migration to the possible combinations of service.
- Analyze and report sales performance, sales channel data, trending and historical information
- Manipulation/Interpretation of subscriber data, including services, demographics and psychographics
- Comprehensive tracking of all area marketing and sales campaigns including set up, payback and churn analysis
- Track customer behavior such as response, churn, product selection, etc.
- Work with manager, other analysts and internal marketing clients to prioritize and execute reporting/analysis related to sales and marketing initiatives.
- Support scoping of marketing targets/tests in conjunction with the Marketing leads, as well as provide analysis used to plan campaigns.
- Create post-campaign response tracking/sales reports as well as detailed campaign analysis.
- Create analytic/tracking reports to help provide insight, measurement and marketing strategy for Marketing leads.
- Prepare analysis with EXCEL (including some VB scripting, Macro development, Pivot Tables, and advanced lookup functions).
- Provide recommendations to Management/Coordinators for additional reports, tracking tools and other metrics
- Analyze data to isolate challenges and opportunities
- Supports maintenance, management and accuracy of the departmental databases.

Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, Statistics or related field required. 2 to 4 years relevant experience required.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities.
- Understanding of relational database concepts, strong spreadsheet and computer skills (including Microsoft products, with heavy emphasis on Excel, Access, MS reporting Services, SQL Server Management Studio-or other database software.)
- Microsoft PowerPoint - skills should include detailed presentation compilation with embedded spreadsheets and graphs.
- Understanding of Data warehouse concepts preferred
- Cable industry experience preferred.
- Practical experience in billing/database and financial analysis preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills are necessary to interface effectively with management, co-workers and various other internal and external customers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills: ability to manage multiple details and deadlines in a multi-tasked environment.
- Must exhibit work qualities that are team and customer-oriented; with an enthusiastic approach toward work.
